Disneyland

On Sunday we went to Disneyland to celebrate Audrey's birthday. Since most of our family has annual passes, many of them we able to come with us. It was a very special day not only because of Audrey's birthday celebration, but also because it was the first trip we have made without a stroller since the kids were born. Can I get a "Woo Hoo!!" from all the moms out there?! :) This was a very freeing feeling for Bob and I, and we weren't quite sure what to do with ourselves. I, for one, was very thankful to not have to push around the 130+ pound beast of a stroller we have. You may wonder why it weighed so much, so I will tell you.

Two 45lb kids + a 40lb double stroller + all the "stuff we pile onto it....you do the math. LOL!

Anyway, we had a wonderful day and as usual we took lots of photos. So here goes! :)

Here is a shot of Audrey with my mom when we were on the tram.

Here is a shot of her with Bob's mom at our favorite restaurant in the park, The Plaza Inn.

Here is a shot of Brer Rabbit from the Splash Mountain ride. I was able to get such a good shot because the ride broke down while we were on it and we had to exit our "logs" while still in the ride. It was not really that big of a deal since we were at the end of the ride, plus we got to get a behind-the-scenes glance of the park.

You see, when we exited the ride we were in the employee only area of Disneyland. Here is our group on the back lot waiting our turn to re-enter the park.

After our adventure on Splash Mountain we all headed over to Pooh Corner for a snack.

We got Nathan chocolate and caramel covered marshmallows on a stick. He loved it!

Here are Audrey and her cousin Kathy eating their yummy treats.

This is Bob, Nathan, and my nephew Michael on the Alice in Wonderland ride. We had fun teasing them because they were in a pink caterpiller. :)

Here are the three of them holding hands as we made our way to ToonTown. Too cute!!

Audrey had a blast playing in ToonTown.

Even though Michael has her in a head lock in this shot, they are great buddies and they love each other a lot. :)

Thanks for hanging in there with me and all my pictures. :) God bless!!

You know that I love pictures....A LOT! So, keep 'em coming!;)

What fun! When I come to visit you and go camping at the beach...I want to go here too. (I'm just saying.)

And I want to eat chocolate and caramel covered marshmallows on a stick. (said as I wipe drool from my chin) What is it about putting food on a stick that makes it tastes so much better? ;)

Bob and you both have beautiful mothers. What a blessing to have them both be able to share in this day!

And yes, I remember our first outing without a stroller. We spent the whole day feeling like we were constantly forgetting something.;) But it is so freeing, and less cumbersome. But then several years later, I would see mom's and dad's with their little ones in strollers, and it would make me miss those days. (I'm sick, apparently.) ;)

Great post!
God Bless,
Amy:)
