Awana

Last night Bob and I took the kids to Awana and signed them up for the year. Audrey went a few times at the end of their last session, but she never officially registered in the club. Inspite of this, she was still able to earn her vest, bag, and book on the last day she went. You can click here to see a post I did about that. Anyway, Nathan had never been before and he was so excited to go. The church that hosts Awana is not our home church, so Bob and I took the kids and dropped them off. This was very different for me because with all of the other activities they are involved in (co-op, BSF, & Sunday school)Bob or I stay there with them. I thought I might have an issue with it, but actually it was kind of nice. Bob and I were able to go out to dinner and do a little shopping...just the two of us!!!! Needless to say, that does not happen very often. We were able to get back in time to watch Audrey play some games and to see her be awarded her first patch to put on her Sparks vest. They both had a wonderful time and Nathan is so excited to learn his verses so he can get his Cubbies vest next Sunday. I will post some photos of him in his vest next week. :) God bless!

Sounds like fun for all, especially......."just the two of us!";) That reminds me of the old 70s song; do you remember it?

"Just the two of us, we can make it if we try, just the two of us...You and I....."

Sigh.

Okay, I'll stop now!;)

Tell Audrey way to go on her first patch! And tell Nathan that he can do it too!:)

God Bless,
Amy:)

Oh my Gina look what you did...made Amy start singing!
Well your babies are growing up and it is bittersweet I know. We let go of them a tiny bit at a time. But what a positive way to do it. Awanas ROCKS!!!
Maybe make that time each week couple time??? ; )
