"When I Grow Up....."

Yesterday I was driving in the car with the kids listening to Steve Green's "Hide Em in Your Heart" CD. This is the CD that goes along with our memory verse each week. It is really great and has helped Audrey in memorizing her verse each week. Anyway, Audrey was singing away and then out of the blue she stopped and said, "Mommy, do you know what I want to be when I grow up?". The last time she asked me this she told me she wanted to be an ice cream man, so I was expecting an answer along those lines. Instead I was totally floored when she said " I want to be a Jesus Teller." I said " That's great Honey", not really knowing what she meant. She then said, "I want to tell people all about God". I was so amazed and delighted by her response. I told her that I thought that was a great idea because there are a lot of people who need to know that God loves them. It just warms my heart to see her desire to learn about God and to share it with others. I am so thankful that God is allowing me to homeschool her so I can be one of the people who plants seeds of spiritual truth in her heart.
