God is so faithful!!

A couple weeks ago I received a summons for jury duty for the end of this month. This is the first time I have been called since I began homeschooling. I have been excused in the past when the kids were younger, but I was not sure if that would work again because the court house I am assigned to provides daycare for children over 3. The thought of taking Audrey and Nathan to "government daycare" horrified me. First of all. I have no idea who the people are watching them and I'm sure it is a total germ factory. Bob works very hard so I can stay home with the kids so they don't have to go to daycare. That means I would have to find someone to watch them if I got called. Anyway, I sent the form back asking to be excused because I care for my children and homeschool during the day. I had not heard back from the courts and I was beginning to get worried. So tonight during my quiet time I prayed and asked God for His will to be done. I gave it to God and He reminded me that He is control of everything.

So a little while ago I went to the jury service website to find out more information and found an area where you could check on your service status. I plugged in my info and I saw a comment that said "Your request to be excused from jury duty has been granted". I was so excited and all I could say was "Praise God!!". It was such a good reminder to me that God is faithful, He is in control, and all I have to do is trust in Him.

That's great news. I was just wondering the other day what would happen if I was summoned. I was fearful that an activist judge might order me to put my kids in school in order for me to serve. Last time I was called I was excused because I had small children, and was exclusively breast feeding. I know I'm "due" to get called soon! God is so good! Why do I waste time worrying!

Praise the Lord! What a great testimony of God's faithfulness to us even in the seemingly "small" things! Love it.

Yeah! No jury duty! I know what you mean about the daycare germ factor. ;)

Oh,I'm putting in on my friends list if that's ok. Most of the HSR's gang is there anyway. LOL!
