Today I had to go to Target and buy a new vaccuum because the one we have had for 10 years finally broke beyond repair. Bob is really great at fixing things, but he told me that it was a "goner". As soon as I brought the new one home the kids confiscated the box it came in. My first instinct was to throw the box away to get rid of the mess (see the previous post). But I resisted and they proceeded to use it as a boat, an airplane, and several rides at Disneyland. Bob and I had a great time watching them use their imaginations and it was a good lesson for me to remember to "chill out" every now and then.

My kids LOVE boxes. They make trains, airplanes, forts, you name it out of them. Then our cats get in on the act. I'm constantly sneaking boxes out of the house and down to the garbage can after everyone is asleep. LOL.
My kids ADORE boxes, too! ( My son even has a 'box collection' - LOL!) Basically we let him add to it until the boxes become ruined, or we are over-run with them, and then he starts over. ( They sure are cheaper and more creative than most toys, though!) ;-)
