August Savings

Piggy Bank Pictures, Images and Photos

Since July I have been keeping track of how much I spend each month on groceries, and how much I save by using coupons. To see my post for July you can click here. I kept track of my spending and savings in August and these are my final numbers.

The amount I spent on groceries, which includes food, toiletries, paper products, dog food, cleaning supplies. etc. was:

$496.87

I also qualified for $30 in rebates from Kellogg's and Kraft Foods.

Before sales, club cards, and coupons it would have cost me:

$1403.93

Which is a savings of:

$907.06 or 65% of retail

My goal for August was to spend $500 on groceries, so I hit my goal. Yay!!! My next goal is to spend only $400 per month on groceries. I am hoping to do this in the next couple of months. If you are curious about how I saved so much money, check out some of the blogs I have on my sidebar. Happy shopping!! :)
