First Day of School

Today was out first day back to school and I think it went really well. I was kind of nervous about teaching 2 children (in 2 different programs) at the same time, but I was very pleased with how our morning went. This year Audrey is in 2nd grade and Nathan is in Kindergarten. I am using Heart of Dakota as my main curriculum for both of them. Audrey is doing Bigger Hearts for His Glory and Nathan is doing Little Hearts for His Glory. This will be my third year using this publisher so I know we are going to have a lot fun as we learn.

Here are a couple shots I took this morning. I will take more in the next few days so I can post a Week in Review at the end of the week. Enjoy!

Here is what our school table looked like. Each child has a basket with all their books, workbooks, pencil boxes, etc. We have school in the kitchen and I keep their school stuff on a bookshelf in another room, so this is an easy way for me to store and transport everything each day.

Awesome! And I personally love the pajamas.

We are still planning on starting Thurs. or Fri but I may have to put it off until Monday now.

HOD is sending me out a new shipment as mine obviously was lost. Sigh.

Awww Happy First day of school!! Looks like it went smoothly and look forward to seeing your week in review! We start "officialy" next week and I plan to post reviews also...help keep me accountable..lol.

Happy kids,pajamas,color coded baskets...GREAT first day of school if you ask me! If I was starting over I would def. do HOD. I think we will do week in review too this year for the first time.
