A Sad Day

Today is a sad day at our house. This afternoon we had to put our 16 year old cat, Spaz, to sleep. She had been losing weight over the last few weeks and was beginning to lose her hearing. Yesterday I realized that she was not doing well, so we decided to see how she was this morning. At first I could not find her, but she showed up mid morning and I knew we had to take her in. I called Bob at work and he came home as soon as he could and took her to the vet. It was difficult for him since he has had her since she was a kitten. I have known this moment was coming for some time now, but it is still a bummer. Audrey was upset when we told her and immediately asked if we could get another cat. We'll have to wait and see about that one. Right now we are still mourning our "Pazer Kitty".
