Tell Me Your Story Tag

I have been tagged by my blogging friend Amy to tell the story of how Bob and I met and fell in love. Amy's story was very sweet and you can click here to read it. Anyway, I will try and be as brief as possible so I do not bore all of you out in Blogland. So here goes....

After I graduated from college I went to work for a finance company and entered their management training program. About 6 months after I started working there, Bob was hired there as well and spent his first 2 weeks training in my office. Since I had a loser boyfriend at the time, there were no sparks at our first meeting, but I did think he was a nice guy. When his training was over he went to work in another office and I only had contact with him every once in awhile. Then about 6 months later I got promoted to manager and he came to work in my office. Yes...at one time I was Bob's boss. We love to tell people that. :) Anyway, he worked for me for about 6 months and we became good friends, but I still had my loser boyfriend.

One important thing I forgot to mention was that at this time Bob was a christian and I was not. So even though Bob had the hots for me, he would not do anything about it because I was a heathen. LOL!

During the time we worked together I was going through some very difficult circumstances, and since I did not know the Lord I felt very hopeless. I shared some of my experiences with Bob and he invited me to a bible study he was going to and I went. A few weeks later I accepted the Lord and we then began going to church together. Once I became a christian our friendship grew even stronger and I began to realize that my feelings for him were growing beyond just friendship. I was pretty sure Bob felt the same way, so there was just one thing standing in the way...my loser boyfriend. I promptly ended my relationship with him and Bob and I went on our first date 5 days later. :) Our first date was on March 1, 1996 and we were married on June 28, 1996.

It was a pretty amazing time and as I look back I can totally see God's hand upon my life.

Well, that is our story in a nutshell. I hope you enjoyed reading it. God bless!
