"What happened to Audrey's eye?"

A few of you in blog land and in real life have been asking me this question, so I decided to let you all know what happened. She was playing with Bob in our bedroom on Monday night and accidentally hit her eye on our bed frame. Bob was on the bed tickling her and she was standing next to the bed. She ducked down to get away and that is when she bumped her eye. Now just so you all know, Audrey loves to be tickled by her Daddy and was enjoying every minute of it until she bonked herself. Thankfully there was no blood and no major injury to her eye. I was glad we did not have to go to urgent care and have to explain her black eye to the doctor. It is sad that in our world today that we as parents have worry about explaining our kids injuries. Anyway, thank you all for your concern. :)

I just found your blog and think it is wonderful. I am sorry about your little one's boo-boo. Our 1-yr-old also has a black eye of sort. He reached higher than I thought he was able and pulled down our camera and it bopped him in the eye! Poor dude.

I totally understand...My dd fell and her forehead landed right on the wooden support post to our deck and got a golf ball size bump. Her foot got stuck bc her crocs grabbed the ground. I don't let them wear those shoes anymore.

I hope her eye gets better soon:)

I noticed too, but because of raising two boys, I figured it was just one of those childhood mishaps....

We had to visit the emergency room several times and "explain" to hospital staff that, "No, we did not hurt them, they are just clumsy.":)

It is pitiful to be "looked" at and "questioned" when you just want your baby to be taken care of....

I'm glad yours is okay too.....Tickling is a dangerous business.:)
