Week #23 in Review

We had a short week due to our trip to Disneyland, but it was still a productive week. In Little Hearts we began learning about the Jamestown Settlers, the Pilgrims, and the Indians. We read how they came to America seeking the freedom to worship God the way the bible intended. Our memory verse this week is one of my favorites, Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Math:This week Audrey was introduced to counting by 3's and she continued to work on subtraction. She also reviewed addition, ordinal numbers and place value.

Explode the Code:Here are samples of what Audrey read this week in ETC.

Handwriting:

Science:Audrey wanted to study Rabbits this week for science so here are some of the books we read from the library.

Next week we will continue to learn about the first American settlers as well as the 13 Colonies. We went to the library today and got books on skunks, bats, porcupines, and koalas. I'm off now to find coloring sheets for each one for next week. Have a great weekend!

Great week! Rabbits are fun. Snap Dragon had his nose buried in his Star Wars books all week. Uugh, If I have to hear about Tatooine or Gungans or Ewoks again, I'll go MAD!!

Can I ask what handwriting program you are using? That looks like it would be perfect for my 5 year old!

Thanks!
