This past weekend I went to a women's retreat with my church, so the kids were home alone with Daddy. All of us had been looking forward to this time. I desperately needed a "Mommy" break, and Bob and the kids were looking forward to having quality time together. God answered my prayers by giving me a time of rest and spiritual renewal. We had a wonderful speaker at the retreat named Aileen Coleman. She has been faithfully serving the Lord as a missionary in the Middle East for 53 years! She runs a hospital in Jordan that treats people who have tuberculosis. Her and her staff share the gospel with the patients while they are there. She taught on the life of Joseph and reminded us that God always keeps His promises. I came home feeling refreshed and ready to serve God and my family with joy. God also answered my prayer to bless the time that Bob and the kids had together. They had a wonderful time and a had lots of fun. I am thankful that God knew exactly what we all needed. The kids were craving time alone with their earthly father, and I was craving time alone with my Heavenly Father.
Here are some photos of the kids having fun with Daddy.
They love jumping on the trampoline with Daddy.

Bob made bubbles with a bubble gun and the kids used their swords to try and pop them. That's why Daddy is so much fun, I never would have thought of that.

I'm thinking I need the same thing. I've never had a night away from the children. I wonder if I would be miserable or excited?? Sounds like you had a great time and it looks like your children enjoyed their time as well.
I'm glad you got away. I try to go to Women of Faith every year. I get renewed, the kids get some daddy time, and everyone appreciates Mommy so much when I get home. It looks like they had a great time with Dad.
Great shot! I can never get an action shot like that with my camera even with the right settings. Argh! Cute pics. :-)
Sounds wonderful...and my husband always comes up with interesting things for the children to do as well...so long as the weather is nice. He doesn't like messy unless it is outside.
