Week #21 in Review

This week in Little Hearts for His Glory we learned about the Age of Exploration and read about the Spanish explorers Christopher Columbus, Juan Ponce de Leon, and Vasco Balboa. We had fun using the globe to see where each of these men sailed. We also started a new read-aloud since we finished Happy Jack last week. I chose Charlotte's Web because I enjoyed it as a little girl, and so far Audrey seems to really enjoy it too.

Our memory verse for the week was Psalm 96:4-5 "For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens."

Phonics/Reading:
Here is a look at what Audrey did in Explode the Code and First Reader this week.

Handwriting:
Audrey has improved greatly over the past few weeks in her writing. I am thankful because this was her least favorite subject, but now the complaning has lessened a bit.

Math:
This week we worked on counting to 100, counting money, telling time and addition.

Science:
This week we read library books about grizzly bears. Below is a picture Audrey colored and a copy of her narration that I typed up for her.
