Project Bookshelf

As many of you know I am one of those people who likes to be organized and who can't stand clutter. This is a gene that I inherited from my Mother, just ask her husband Mike (I love you Mom!). I enjoy organizing and cleaning to remove clutter, and I have been known to get rid of Bob's stuff before he was done with it. Oops! I have gotten much better in this area, and now I ask Bob's permission before I throw any of his stuff away.

So today I woke up from a 15 minute power nap while the kids were watching Scooby Doo, and the first thing I saw was the built in book shelf we have. It has been a wreck for a few months and I have been putting off organizing it. Well I decided that today was the day I was going to tackle it, and I did. I now have 4 boxes of books to go to Goodwill, and my bookshelf is nice and tidy....just the way I like it.

Here is before......

and after.

We are kindred spirits! I MUST delcutter every 3 months and the Goodwill donation center knows me by name. lol

Now doesn't that FEEL good to see that organized book case? Life is good, when the clutter is not in it. :)

I did this to 11 bookshelves this past weekend. I'm pooped! Looks great! I should have taken before/after pictures. It would remind me just how bad it can get. ;-)
