Today we went to my sister-in-law Jenny's house to make gingerbread houses. Her kids are out of school this week and we are taking the week off as well. So we thought we would get together to kick off the holiday season. I have never made one with both kids before, so I bought just one kit for us to share. I soon realized that this was a mistake and I will be buying two kits next year. Nathan was really into helping decorate which kind of surprised me and irritated Audrey. My niece Kathy was kind enough to let Audrey help with her house and that worked out wonderfully. Nathan and I finished up ours and it came out pretty good. Everyone had a great time eating candy, decorating, listening to Christmas music, and enjoying each other's company.
