Co-op Completed

Yesterday we finished our third session of our homeschool co-op. The kids spent 6 weeks learning about winter, public speaking, and how to jump rope. They both had a great time learning and playing with their friends and I enjoyed the fellowship with the other moms. We are going to be taking a break for the next session and will resume again in mid-April to begin learning about Ancient Egypt. The kids and I are very excited to learn more about Egypt since we have all been studying the life of Moses in BSF this year.

Anyway, to wrap up the public speaking class, each child had to fill out a poster that told all about them and then present it to the class. Here is a shot of Audrey giving her presentation. I was not able to watch her since I was working with the pre-schoolers, but my friends assured me she did a great job. :)

Here are all the children and their posters.

The kids also made some fun crafts as they learned about winter. Here is Nathan with a wind chime he made on a day he learned about the wind.

Audrey learned about penguins and polar bears and made a cute craft of each one.

We also had a small Valentine's party yesterday(which I didn't get any shots of) so we had the pre-schoolers make a bracelet to give to their moms for Valentine's day. This is the one Nathan made for me.

Although the kids and I will miss our friends during our co-op break, I am looking forward to it. I am hoping to get in some field trips and a trip or two to Disneyland while we are away. I'll keep you posted on our adventures! :)
