This week in Little Hearts we learned more about important people alive during the Civil War. We read about Abraham Lincoln, D. L. Moody, Noah Webster, and George Washingotn Carver. One of the fun activities we did was to look up several words in our Webster's dictionary. We also built a replica of the log cabin Abraham Lincoln was born in out of peanut butter and graham crackers. The kids had a blast making these and then had fun eating them. Here a couple photos of their finished cabins. Yes...this was one of those "do school in your pajamas" days. Enjoy!

Nathan actually built his cabin for his Veggie Tales characters.
The 3 R's: We are continuing to plug away at math, writing, and phonics. Here are a couple samples of what Audrey worked on this week.
Science: This week we read about animals on the farm. We learned about horses, cows, and pigs. Here is a picture that Audrey colored and a photo of the books we read.
