Under the Sea

Last night our homeschool co-op had an "Under the Sea" open house. The kids have been learning about the ocean and animals that live in the ocean for the past 6 weeks. Each week they made a craft to go along with the animals they learned about and they also did a science experiment every week having to do with the ocean. I have included some photos of the crafts the kids made that we put out on display. It turned out wonderful, and they all had a great time showing their Daddys and grandparents all of the neat things they made. The only down side was that they got to bring all of their crafts home with them last night(the day after I got done de-cluttering their rooms). Now I have to find room for 6 weeks worth of crafts. Anyway, enjoy the photos!

You can't see it in this photo, but each octopus has Cheerios on its tentacles to act as the suckers.

This is our jellyfish forest.

This is a coral reef made out of colored coffee filters.

The preschoolers enjoyed making sea anemones and starfish.

These are eels made out of black socks.

Here are Audrey and Nathan with 2 of their good friends.

That looks like fun...I still have crafts similar to this in boxes that the boys made when they were little.(They don't like to get rid of any thing either.) :)

BTW, We loved Buster Bear. We learned quite a bit about Farmer Brown's son. ;-)
