I was inspired by my friend
Amber to begin spring cleaning my house this week. I decided to start by cleaning out my closet and dresser drawers. I came to the reluctant realization that I will probably never be a size 6 ever again in my life, so anything with a 6 on it is out of here. I also have lots of business suits and dress clothes from when I used to work that are going as well. The picture you see here shows some of the things I am giving to family and Goodwill. There were a few items too thrashed to give away, so I pitched them. There are also some suits and dry clean items that I left on the hangers to give to my Mom (she is a size 6). I even got rid of 5 pairs of shoes!!! (GASP!!!) That is huge for me because I LOVE shoes. When I told Bob about the shoes he said, "Where is my wife, and what have you done with her?!". LOL! I just told him that now I have room for 5 more pair. :) I hope to work on the kids rooms next week. I have to do it when they are not around because they won't let me get rid of anything. Thankfully my Mother-in-law has agreed to watch them so I can get it done. Today was a very productive day and I feel great because I love getting organized and removing clutter.

Good for you!! I am going to be doing my room tommorow...I need to go through the closet and drawers also!! I will be doing the kids rooms afterwards as well ;-D
Good for you! I need you to come rub some of that organization energy onto me....Please?..:)
It always feels so great to get rid of things that are just clutter or that are never going to be used again. Don't feel bad about size 6 stuff...I was never there to begin with.:)
Keep up the good work, and if you run out of stuff to do, just swing by my place.:)
Amy:)
Spring cleaning...yes, I hear you! I am holding off on mine a bit this year. Once the basement is all done (we are in the process of putting in 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, family room and school room down there) I will begin mine. Probably late May. :-)
I just went through my closet last night, too. It feels SO good - doesn't it?
DH wants to have a rummage sale though, and so now I have the not-so-fun job of labeling everything with price stickers - yuck!
(I think I'll just make a big sign that says all clothing 50 cents!);p
