Today was another beautiful winter day in SoCal, so Bob and I decided to take the kids on a hike up Mt. Rubidoux. This photo shows one of the many breath taking views we experienced this morning. We decided to be adventurous and venture off the paved road onto the hiking trails. The kids turned out to be naturals at rock climbing and did not let fear get in the way of having a great time. I was not surprised as Bob and I are both adventurous at heart and we rock climbed on some our first dates (how romantic, huh?). Here are some pictures we took of our hiking adventure.
The picture below is from the top of one of the hills that we climbed. We started at the road you see at the bottom.
Oh! I forgot how beautiful the view is from up there! I would love to take my kids up there..I havent been since I was a kid! It's especially nice when you can *see* the view instead of the smog huh ;-p What a great family post! I love seeing it!
Wow! Okay, I live in the desert compared to you. I can climb snake-infested mounds of tan dirt??? We did actually see a snake last time we went for a hike. Blech. We have to drive into the moutains to see views like that.
Oh, those pics are so beautiful. If I could go there, I would never come down. LOL I would just build a little tent and a little alter for the Lord. :-) Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing for those of us in the boonies. LOL
I am a christian wife and homeschooling Mom of 2 beautiful children. I will be posting about my family, our adventures in homeschooling, and any other fun things going on in my life. Thanks for stopping by. God bless!
